We are really happy to have received the brilliant "Site of the Day" accolade from the AWWWARDS for our work on the official Amir Khan website. The awards are judged by a panel of international designers, bloggers and agencies, who evaluate each site using a strict system of evaluation; scoring it on a scale of 1 to 10 for its Design, Creativity, Usability and Content. Each winning "Site of the Day" entry is also included within the upcoming book "365 Best CSS Websites Around The World 2012".

We were thrilled when we were invited to pitch to Marketing Lancashire (previously Lancashire & Blackpool Tourist Board) to look at a project to mark a dark time in our local history. The brief was to create a campaign and brand to mark the 400 year anniversary of the Lancashire Witch Trials.

Absolute are proud to announce that our project with British boxer Amir Khan has now launched. The project was designed and developed completely in-house by our team in Bolton. The resulting site, www.amirkhanworld.com, is a destination for all the latest news from Team Khan.

Gone are the days when a good website was just a luxury, it is now essential.

A school’s website needs be a central part of an education marketing strategy; a great website can generate a channel of leads if designed and developed well from the ground up, and also offers a great platform to engage with current and potential stakeholders.

A well designed website can create an interactive platform on many levels. Not only can your website be a great way of promoting the services, departments and strengths of your school, but for current stakeholders it can offer interactive day to day content to further engage with them.

We are extremely proud to be working with boxing legend, fellow Boltonian, and former Light-Welterweight Champion of the World, Amir Khan.

Our team will be working closely with Amir to completely refresh his brand, and build anticipation over the period prior to his next fight. Khan hopes to retain his WBA and IBF titles when he fights American Lamont Peterson in the much anticipated World Title re-match on May 19th at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas.

The strategy includes rolling out a new main website portal, online store and image licensing site that will allow journalists worldwide to licence and download official images as soon as they become available. Along with this, we will be working with Team Khan to develop a new range of official apparel which will include team tracksuits worn on the promotional circuit in fight week, Amir's training clothing and fight night teamwear. Absolute are also working closely with Amir to create a whole range of leisurewear inspired by Amir as he looks to strengthen his investment portfolio outside of the ring. Negotiations are currently underway with a large national retailer to help develop this new range.

It is great to be asked to work with such an inspirational local sportsman. Amir has done a lot to put Bolton on the map since he won the Silver medal at the 2004 Olympics, and it is great that he is choosing to work with a Bolton-based business like Absolute to develop his image.
