We are really happy to announce that Absolute have won a pitch against 11 other agencies to design and develop a campaign to promote the 400 year anniversary of the Lancashire Witch Trial for the Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board!
If you do not already know - the Pendle Witch Trials were a dark time in Lancashire's History where several people were accused, and subsequently hanged for performing acts of witchcraft (you can find out more here - http://bit.ly/24wuo7)
The campaign, that will include both online and offline work will aim to promote a driving trail that follows all the historical landmarks of the famous story of the Pendle Witches from Barrowford to Lancaster. Not only are we thrilled to be working with the Lancashire & Blackpool Tourist Board, we are incredibly happy to have won a pitch that was such a labour of love in the studio, which marks such an important era in our local history.
Our team worked together to create a hand-made "Witches Box" full of ideas for the Tourist Board, including speculative designs for a new microsite and supporting brand materials for the Driving Trail. You can get a bit of a sneak preview of our ideas below -

Chris our MD adds -
"It is great to win our first brief from the Lancashire & Blackpool Tourist Board since getting on their roster of agencies. We tried to get on the roster over 3 years ago but missed out by less than a week as the deadline for submission had passed. So I think Sally was a little surprised when I contacted her 3 years to the day later to ask how to get on the next list!"
The campaign will start in mid March and run with various events throughout the year
