We recently completed a small branding project for local up-and-coming lady golfer Kelly Tidy. Kelly is sure to be one to watch in the future, and we are happy to support a fellow Boltonian on her journey to becoming one of golf's best! Last week saw the launch of a new 60 page Yearbook for Royal Birkdale Golf Club called LINKS. Not only did we design and produce the Yearbook but we were also in charge of all the editorial copywriting and advertising for the publication. This included interviewing both Justin Rose and Women's World Number one golfer Yani Tseng. We also did detailed reviews of the latest technology used in developing drivers and also looked back on how Lee Trevino won the 1971 Open Championship.

As part of the launch we also arranged the LINKS CUP golf tournament for all the partners who helped with the production. The event took place on Wednesday 20th July on the famous Open Championship course. The winners of the event were Fletcher McNeill & jewellers D M Robinson who scored an impressive 86 points. Absolute Media came a respected 4th overall with Managing Director Chris Hodgen testing out all the rough, as Creative Designer Nick Pilling steadied the ship with a solid performance.

This week will see the launch of the new Royal Birkdale website to complete the current marketing upgrades.

Absolute is currently working on some new marketing materials for Romax Technologies based in Nottingham, to highlight their market leading software for virtual transmission development.

As part of the brief, absolute have produced an animated a road going car (Volvo) that will then fade from a wire frame at the front to a photo realistic car at the rear to highlight the drive train and gearbox.

We are currently modelling the internals of the car including the axel, drive train and gearbox. Take a look at the car so far.

 We will update this blog with the finished animation and brochures mid next week.

Absolute have just launched the new logo for the 2011 Sydney Twestival.

Twestival® (or Twitter Festival) uses social media for social good by connecting communities offline on a single day to highlight a great cause and have a fun event. 

Twestival is the largest global grassroots social media fundraising initiative to date. Since 2009, volunteers have raised close to $1.2 million for 137 nonprofits. All local events are organized 100% by volunteers and 100% of all ticket sales and donations go direct to projects.

Twestival was born out of the idea that if cities were able to collaborate on an international scale, but work from a local level, it could have a spectacular impact. Over 200 international cities from Buenos Aires to Bangalore, Seattle to Sydney and Hong Kong to Honolulu have participated in Twestival.

Absolute have completed the re brand for IDHH, a financial consultancy based in the North West. IDHH is split into 3 different departments covering business consultancy, property and investments.
